Here’s what to do – and what to avoid!
What a proper image set looks like?

- Device is clean, no smudge, debris or visible fingerprints
- No light reflections, yet maintaining enough light to capture defects
- Images are taken upright, with no excessive angles/tilting
- Focus is on device, minimal amount of background, image is not blurry
Best Practises
- Remove screen protector and cases/covers. Clean the device – remove any dirt, debris and fingerprints.
- Place the trade-in device on a solid ground, avoid any excessive tilting and angles while taking image
- Find a suitable spot:
- Enough light to highlight defects, while avoiding direct light reflections
- Solid light background, e.g. A4 paper – this ensures proper device location identification as well as
enhances experience
- Make sure the device itself is in focus, minimizing background interference and blurry images
- Double check the taken photo before confirming – if it falls short of the aforementioned pointers and examples,
take another one!
